The EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is meant to protect consumers' digital privacy. One result has been a decrease in venture capital financing of new and emerging digital ventures in the EU. This graph shows the decrease of investment from the rest of the world in Europe after the GDPR went into effect.
